THE SPECIALIST IN CHILDREN’S MORNING DRAMAS – WANTED IMMEDIATELY

“Being a mother is tough mornings with kids you’ve never heard of before.”

I was inspired by stories from morning dramas related to motherhood for this post. Of course, funny dramas that probably every parent has experienced.
My daughter’s drama today was about the color of the plate I served the toast on.
Dora is a Paw Patrol fan, and due to my lack of sleep, I put a toast on Spider-Man’s plate. And the scene began with crying, screaming, and a general loss of interest in breakfast because she no longer liked toast from any plate other than Paw Patrol. And it may seem absurd to you, but for us parents, it is very common. https://littlepuzzlesandme.com/ordinary-mornings-by-boss-baby/

FOOD PREFERENCES

Another story is from a friend of mine, a mother of two whose morning drama was about sausages. I still laugh about it as I write about it, but I know it wasn’t funny to her. Her little Kasper, a fan of sausages, always orders them cut into slices on a plate. One morning he made a drama that he no longer eats sliced, but whole. The problem was that these were the last sausages, and Alex does not have the magical power to glue them together, and Kasper, crying and snorting, shouted for her to glue them together.

We also had a morning when the cup did not meet our son’s requirements and the juice no longer tasted good.

And tell me how is it that my son loves olives into spaghetti for days, weeks, and months but one day he picks them all or he won’t even try and just say “yuck.” Or my daughter can eat broccoli for a year but one day throws all the broccoli off her plate.

CLOTHES PREFERENCES

I have heard but also experienced situations where some mornings can turn into a children’s fashion show. For example, my daughter can change her leggings five times. Of course, often when we are late. When she finally changes leggings, blouses, and socks, and leaves piles of clothes on the floor, the worst will come at the end. Winter boots are no longer pretty and despite the cold and snow you have to wear summer boots. Or on a sunny morning, she suddenly needed wellies, which she hated when it was wet and rainy.

I remember when my friend brings her son in two different shoes because he wanted them, and she, having had enough of morning fights, agreed to it. It was understandable for me, Patrick wears different socks very often, not because of the lack of pairs, he just wants Spiderman and Superman in one day.

MY ADVICES

Most children’s dramas are created especially for us – parents. I can’t count how many morning shows I experienced with my two children and still do. I also don’t know of any good advice that would help prevent absurd stories. My kids win most dramas these days. I replace the cup, serve spaghetti without olives, and wait until she replaces 7 socks in a row. On rainy days I took extra wellies to the Nursery. I know that in Nursery Dora will wear wellies without objections.

I heard rumors that it will pass someday, and that children will grow out of it, but these are only rumors, unconfirmed rumors.
