What is a simple summer fan design for little children?

“The greatest happiness of summer days is ice cream and melon”.

Sun, summer, ice cream and refreshing summer fruits like watermelons and melons sound perfect – especially for kids. We are once again moving to the creative corner and creating a DIY PAPER HAND FAN with “my little puzzles” in the theme of summer fruits.

Everything we need you will find in your locker and it’s completely free. Popsicle sticks we collected from the ice cream when we enjoyed every summer day until today. This project was made by my 3-year-old daughter. She had no problems gluing, making a watermelon, and having fun. I helped her a bit with cutting and holding toys while she was using glue.

What do my little puzzles need?

Let’s start the process of creating a DIY PAPER HAND FAN together:

1. Prepare three colored sheets of paper: green, red, and yellow.

2. Cut two thin strips from the green paper, from the entire length of the colored sheet (preferably A4).

3. On the red and yellow paper, draw dots (melon seeds) with a marker on both sides.

4. Fold the first strip of paper over the second, as in the picture.

5. From all the A4 red or yellow paper, make an accordion.

6. Glue two popsicle sticks to the two ends of the paper held like an accordion.

7. Play with your hand fans indoors and outdoors.

PREPARE COLOURING PAPER, POPSICLE STICK AND MARKER

DRAW BLACK DOTS ON BOTH SIDES

FOLD THE FIRST STRIP OF PAPER OVER THE SECOND – MAKE AN ACCORDION

GLUE TWO POPSTICKS ON THE TWO ENDS OF THE ACCORDION
