How do children create funny characters from yogurt bottles?
“GIVE CHILDREN FREEDOM THEN THEY WILL LEARN TO CREATE AND PLAY TOGETHER”.
We’ll make something useful out of something tasty. I’ve already written about ice cream and using a popsicle stick to create airplanes. We combined delicious ice cream with creative fun, and the joy doubled. https://littlepuzzlesandme.com/how-do-children-make-airplanes-from-popsicle-sticks/
Today, in the creative corner, my “little puzzles” will be making crafts from yoghurt bottles. In my example, I found empty bottles of Actimel or Activia yoghurt.
The crafting process from yogurt bottles is very easy, and you can make simple patterns first. Little people from the bottle, that’s what my children started with. However, this simple form only amused my two-year-old daughter, not my older son.
Another pattern of this creativity was born in my older son’s mind and we started practicing more complex creations from this kind of valuable product, such as Christmas decorations, Easter decorations, and spooky Halloween decorations. But I will show you this kind of ornament soon.
For children, the new DIY project had two benefits: Tasty yoghurts and new, fun bottle collections. In short, that means double the fun.
Let’s do it

What my little puzzles don’t need?
DISTURBING PARENTS
I leave them to create and be active by themselves. First, this is the art of “my little puzzles”, so let’s give them privacy to implement their ideas. Second, when the children play together, you too have freedom. In my case, I found time to drink yoghurt. In fact, I helped my kids replenish the necessary product – empty bottles, but also improved my metabolism. Again, double benefits 😉
What do my little puzzles need?
- full stomach
- drink near to them
- smile
- patience – only because they create together
- good energy

Let me show you how easy it is to make little fellas out of yogurt bottles:
1. Make holes in the yoghurt cap. Mom will help you with the sharp tool.
2. Insert fluffy pipe cleaners into the holes in the yoghurt lid.
3. Glue two, one, or more wiggly eyes onto your bottle.
4. For more details like a nose or mouth use foam paper. Glue them on the bottle.
5. Make two more holes for the shoulders. Mom will help you with the sharp tool.
6. Put more fluffy pipe cleaner in the armholes to make arms.
7. Check out our photos that will help your child with creation.
