TIPS FOR BOOST MORNING ENERGY USED BY ME – AS A MOM

“Being a mom. This means having to choose between eating, showering, or sleeping. You can’t do all three in one day.”

Again in our lives, the sun has set for good, the weather is gloomy, coffee is not helping anymore, and they are constantly talking on the radio about diets, a healthy lifestyle https://littlepuzzlesandme.com/do-i-really-look-like-what-i-eat/ and advice on how to best raise our energy levels. And I write and listen, and one of the dietitians starts the interview with modest advice:
“We definitely don’t start our day with alcohol.”

I almost choked on my coffee with laughter. I heard from my grandma that she liked to add rum to tea or any other flavored liqueur, but I figured it doesn’t exist in our generation. Imagine drinking alcohol on an empty stomach, blah, yuck.

The next piece of advice was to drink water to increase your energy levels. And here I remembered the times when I didn’t have children yet and how different my mornings were, I live exactly according to the rules recommended by dietitians speaking on the radio.

TIPS TO BOOST YOUR MORNING ENERGY

WHEN I WASN’T PARENT YET

HYDRATION BODY – I don’t begin my day with coffee. I drink a glass of water first in the morning to rehydrate myself after a dry night.

SIMPLE BREAKFAST – I decided to choose a smaller but healthier breakfast ( porridge or cereals with fruits) to sustain my energy levels.

JOGGING/STRETCHING – I’m a yoga person. Some simple yoga poses help awaken my muscles and body.

MUSIC – This is my best wake-up form. Singing gives me a kind of emotional high while reducing levels of stress hormones in my body.

AVERAGE SLEEP – I followed the rules that adults should sleep 7-9 hours a day to feel refreshed.

Sounds familiar and standard. But when my children showed up, the mornings look completely different and more fun at the same time. Also for me – new Mommy, appeared new challenges. I missed it on the radio interview, so I’m making my personal list.

TIPS TO BOOST MY MORNING ENERGY

WHEN I’M A FULL-TIME PARENT

HYDRATION BODY – I drink as much as I can, preferably coffee. Some parents are lucky enough to drink a cup of warm coffee.

SIMPLE BREAKFAST – Children’s breakfast leftovers are great and light food for me.

JOGGING – Every morning I run the marathon to catch my baby on a scooter or bicycle. This helps me wake up my body a lot or it ends my morning with injuries.

STRETCHING – Every morning simple yoga poses while helping my baby wear shoes, a hat, and a jacket can cause a lot of injuries but also wake up my muscle.

MUSIC – “Baby shark” or “Let it go” – their songs have nothing to do with morning positive energy for me, in the case of my children this music stimulates them twice and leaves in my head all day.

AVERAGE SLEEP – My sleeping routine is less than 4/5 hours per day, but I feel refreshed and ready for the most important role in my life – parenthood.

And what morning energy option do you use my dear parents?
