How to make a spider that scares grannies?
“Long after Halloween, we have a house full of candies, spiders, bats, pumpkins, and a house full of fun.”
Is October a month full of mysterious projects for you and your children?
My kid’s creativity in October revolves around making spiders, scary masks, bats, spooky pumpkins, ghosts, and all the other decorations that are both terrifying and fun to them.
Our grandparents visited us over the weekend and admired the Halloween decorations. https://littlepuzzlesandme.com/what-halloween-projects-do-my-children-create/ https://littlepuzzlesandme.com/what-kind-of-halloween-scary-project-will-little-kids-create/
Also, they brought a dozen sweets. Everything looked great, usually an afternoon with a good cup of coffee, until Patrick put the spider on Grandma’s plate, and Grandma touched the hairy spider instead of a cup of coffee. Terrible, right? Grandma jumped and squealed, and Grandpa laughed to tears.
That’s why today we’ll show you how to create a spider to scare Grandma. “My little puzzles” DIY project is made of recyclable materials and items that you probably have at home. Easy-peasy.
Let’s started
What little puzzles will be created today?
SPIDER FROM PAPER CUP
What do my little puzzles not need?
DISTURBING PARENTS.
I helped the children poke holes in the cup. Of course, Patrick (age 5) can do it himself without hurting himself, but Dora (age 2) wants to do it all herself, but she can’t and might end up hurting herself.
What do my little puzzles need?
- full stomach
- drink near them
- smile
- patience – only because they create together
- good energy
And everything from the list below:
☆tables cover
☆paper cup (takeaway coffee cup)
☆foam white ball ( next month we need more to make a Santa Claus figure:)
☆fluffy pipe cleaner for kids’ craft
☆stainless steel spikes from the husband’s cupboard
☆coloured paper or construction paper
☆plastic wiggly eyes stickers
☆scissors
☆glue
☆acrylic paints or markers
☆anything that will help your kids better decorate spiders
What will we use for an unplanned mess?
- wet wipes
- kitchen paper rolls
Step-by-step process of making a spider from a cup:
- Cut the cup of coffee in half.
- Paint this half with the bottom.
TIPS:
*use as little water as possible for the paints.
*leave the painted piece to dry.
2. Cut out the fluffy pipe cleaner and all the details while drying the paper cup.
3. Create spider eyes with ball-shaped foam.
4. Or add wiggly eyes – easier for 2-year-old kids.
5. Mom or Dad will make holes for the legs and eyes of the spider.
TIPS:
*leave your children alone to create a unique design.
