What do children make of playdough? Part 1
“SUN, HAPPINESS AND PLAYDOUGH”
Welcome back in the summertime and let’s give the kids more DIY projects to do with popsicle sticks. After our last crafting activity and making lovely airplanes, there are many sticks left. https://littlepuzzlesandme.com/how-do-children-make-airplanes-from-popsicle-sticks/
Additionally, we still have sunny, warm summer days, so the ice cream from our daily menu has never disappeared. We already know that children love ice cream, and art made from popsicle sticks, and now let’s add one more thing that all children love – PLAYDOUGH!!!
I and “my little puzzles” prepare for you today the colourful, cheerful, and very simple project made of playdough. With this art, you can easily move to the balcony or park. During the picnic, my children hid in a tent and had a great time with playdough and popsicle sticks.
What little puzzles will be created today?
SUN FROM PLAYDOUGH
What my little puzzles don’t need?
DISTURBING PARENTS
In this project, they really don’t need my help. Even the little daughter was coping on her own.
What do my little puzzles need?
- full stomach
- drink near to them
- smile
- patience-only because they create together
- good energy
And everything from the list below:
☆picnic mat
☆popsicle sticks
☆a playdough set
☆jar lids, preferably of different types and sizes
☆anything to help your kid create better playdough arts
What will we use for an unplanned mess?
The real mess in this art is negligible. All that remains after the end of the project is to clean the blanket or picnic mat.
I and “my little puzzles” show you how easy the process of creating playdough sun is:
1. Paint the popsicle sticks, 8 is enough, can be more.
TIPS:
■ my children painted all they had, so they could choose different colors
■ use as little water as possible for the paint
2. Roll out the playdough to the size of the lid.
3. Fill the lid with playdough.
4. Stick a colourful popsicle stick around the playdough lid.
5. Add mouth, eyes, and nose to decorate the happy playdough sun. Let your children choose the best style.
TIPS:
■ pack extra lids, it will give the kids more, new ideas to create.
6. Check out our photos that will help your child with creation.
